RAK National Hotels and Hilton Worldwide announced that Hilton’s first mid-market hotel in Ras Al Khaimah is scheduled to open by Q2 2017.
The announcement was confirmed ahead of the 2016 Ras Al Khaimah Finance and Investment Forum (RAKFIF), which will take place on the 13th and 14th of December.
Hilton Garden Inn Ras Al Khaimah is to be located on the site of the former Hilton Ras Al Khaimah, which closed last January 2015 to allow a multi-million dirham refurbishment project.
The hotel will feature 240 guest rooms, an extensive conference and events facility, a restaurant, lounge/bar and pool deck.
Representatives from both Hilton and RAKHH will address the annual event tomorrow, where the diversification of the Emirate’s hospitality offering to cater to the under supply in the mid-market segment, is set to feature highly on the agenda.
Yannis Anagnostakis, Chief Executive Officer at RAKHH, said: “The Hilton Garden Inn is a perfect fit for RAKNH as it strategically diversifies its portfolio to enter the underserved mid-market segment”.
Mahmoud Mokhtar, Country Manager, Ras Al Khaimah, Hilton Worldwide added: “Our team is working hard towards an expected opening date of Q2 next year and we look forward to welcoming our first Hilton Garden Inn guests soon.”
